UP Schools Holidays News: The district administration in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, announced on Wednesday that all board secondary schools would be closed till Saturday, January 6, due to rain and cold weather.

"In view of the outbreak of rain and cold waves in the district, keeping in mind the safety and health of the students, as per the order of the District Magistrate, teaching work will be suspended in the secondary schools of all the boards till January 6," reads the order.

The directive from District School Inspector, Prayagraj, PN Singh mandates the presence of the Principal, all teaching, and non-teaching staff in the school during the specified period to conduct governmental work.

Lucknow Schools Closed:

Due to the cold wave in the state, the Lucknow district government has also decided to close schools from classes 1 to 8 until January 6, 2024.
