UPSC CDS Result 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the results of the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (I) 2025 and the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy (NDA/NA) Examination (I) 2025 on April 28, 2025. A total of 8,516 candidates have successfully cleared the CDS examination and will now proceed to the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview stage. The examinations were conducted to fill 457 positions through CDS and 406 positions through the NDA/NA pathway.
The written examination for the NDA/NA (I) 2025 was held on April 13, 2025, attracting thousands of aspirants from across the country. These examinations represent the first step in the selection process for admission to prestigious institutions including the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, and Officer Training Academy.
Examination Purpose and Future Courses
The qualified candidates from the NDA/NA examination will be eligible for admission to the 155th Course of the National Defence Academy and the 117th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC), both scheduled to commence on January 2, 2026. These courses prepare candidates for commissioned officer roles in the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of India's armed forces.
For the CDS examination, successful candidates will be considered for various courses beginning in 2026 at the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, and Officer Training Academy (for both male and female courses).

Next Steps for Qualified Candidates
All qualified candidates must follow specific procedures to proceed to the next stage of selection:
For NDA/NA Qualified Candidates:
Register on the Indian Army recruiting website (joinindianarmy.nic.in) within two weeks of the result announcement
Candidates who have previously registered need not register again
Wait for allocation of Selection Centers and dates for the SSB interview
Interview details will be communicated via registered email ID
Prepare to submit original certificates of age and educational qualifications during the SSB interview
For CDS Qualified Candidates:
Candidates with Army (IMA/OTA) as their first choice must register on joinindianarmy.nic.in
Those who have already registered should not register again
Prepare for the SSB interview which is the next stage in the selection process
Keep original documents ready for verification
The Commission has also announced that mark sheets of candidates will be published on its website within fifteen days from the date of publication of the final results, after the conclusion of the SSB interviews. These mark sheets will remain available online for a period of thirty days.
