UPSC Mains 2024 DAF Form: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the results of the UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examinations 2024. Candidates who appeared for the IAS exam can check and download the UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2024 at upsc.gov.in.
The UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2024 was held nationwide on June 16 at various examination centers. More than 13.4 lakh candidates appeared for the exam in two sessions, which included General Studies and the Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT).
UPSC Prelims Result 2024: DAF-I Form Details
The shortlisted candidates will now need to apply using the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024. The dates and important instructions for filling out and submitting the DAF-I will be announced on the UPSC official website soon.
"All of these candidates (who have qualified) must reapply using the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024. The Commission's website will be updated in due course with the dates and important instructions for filling out the DAF-I and submitting it," reads the notification.

UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2024: Exam Stages
The UPSC Civil Services Examination consists of three stages: prelims, mains, and the personality test. These stages are conducted to select officers for prestigious positions such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Grade A and B posts within the central government and its departments.
UPSC Prelims Result 2024: Vacancies Details
The UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024 aims to fill 1,056 vacant seats across diverse central government services and departments. These include esteemed positions in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS). Notably, 40 vacancies are reserved for candidates from the Persons with Benchmark Disability (PWBD) category.
