UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2025 OUT: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially released the Civil Services Preliminary Examination (CSE) Result 2025 on June 11, 2025.14,161 candidates qualified for the Main exam. Candidates who appeared for the Prelims exam conducted on May 25, 2025, can now check their results by visiting the official website: upsc.gov.in.
The CSE Prelims Result 2025 is available in PDF format, listing the roll numbers of qualified candidates. These candidates are now eligible to appear in the UPSC CSE Mains Exam 2025, which is scheduled to begin from August 22, 2025.

Exam Pattern and Evaluation:
The UPSC CSE Prelims exam consisted of two objective-type papers, each lasting two hours and carrying 200 marks. The exam tested candidates on General Studies and CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test).
A negative marking scheme was applied: one-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to a question were deducted for each wrong answer. This makes it crucial for candidates to balance accuracy with speed.
Total Vacancies and Reservation:
This year, 979 vacancies will be filled through the UPSC CSE 2025 recruitment process. The breakdown includes:
38 vacancies for Benchmark Disability candidates, including:
- 12 for blindness or low vision
- 7 for deaf or hard of hearing
- 10 for locomotor disability
- 9 for multiple disabilities (including deaf-blindness)
The recruitment will cover prestigious posts such as IAS, IPS, IFS, and other central services.
