The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) postponed the Civil Services Examinations (CSE) 2024, which was to take place on May 26, 2024. The Prelims exam will now be held on June 16. The decision has been taken in the wake of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections.

According to an official statement, "Due to the schedule of the impending General Election, the Commission has decided to postpone the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination-2024 which also serves as screening test for Indian Forest Service Examination, 2024 from 26-05-2024 to 16-06-2024."

The UPSC civil services exam is one of the toughest exams in the country. 

The UPSC written exam will be held in two shifts- General Studies and Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT). The exam for GS paper will be conducted in the morning session from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM and the Civil Services paper exam will be conducted from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

The hall ticket for the candidates appearing for the exam will be released on the official website of UPSC at least 10 days before the exam. Candidates can visit the website--upsc.gov.in and download their admit card from there.

It must be noted that candidates will need to carry their admit cards on the day of exam or else they won't be allowed to enter the examination hall.
