WBJEE 2026 Schedule Out: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has released the Visual Operational Summary for the Decentralised Counselling Admission Portal (DCAP) 2026. The counselling process will be conducted for admission to residual and resultant vacant seats in undergraduate Engineering, Technology, Architecture and Pharmacy programmes.
As per the schedule, candidates can register for DCAP 2026, pay the registration fee, create their profiles, and fill in their choices from September 7 to 8, 2026. Candidates must pay a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of Rs 250, while the Rs 2,000 Seat Acceptance Fee will be applicable only after an allotted option is selected and locked.

The vacant seat information across participating colleges, institutes, streams and disciplines was scheduled to be published on September 6 at 7 PM.
Candidates can complete registration, fee payment, profile creation and choice selection between 10 AM on September 7 and 11:59 PM on September 8.

The Round 1 Merit and Allocation List will be released on September 10 at 10 AM. Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 must pay the Seat Acceptance Fee and generate their Provisional Admission Receipt between September 10 and 11.
Physical document verification and admission or withdrawal confirmation will be conducted at the concerned institute from September 10 to 12.
Round 2 Allocation And Admission
The Round 2 New Allocation List will be published on September 13 at 5 PM. Candidates allotted seats in this round will have until 11:59 PM on September 14 to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee and generate their Provisional Admission Receipt.
Physical document verification and admission or withdrawal confirmation for Round 2 will take place from September 14 to 15, between 10 AM and 4 PM.
Candidates should carefully follow the deadlines because failure to complete the required admission formalities within the specified period can affect their participation in the counselling process.
WBJEE DCAP Choice Filling Rules
The DCAP 2026 counselling process will use an unordered choice set. During the active choice-filling window, candidates can add, remove or modify their selected choices.
However, candidates should note that fresh choice filling will not be permitted during Round 2. The second round will be conducted using the same frozen choice set submitted earlier.
Candidates should therefore review their preferred colleges, courses and disciplines carefully before the choice-filling deadline.
Seat Acceptance Fee And Debarment Rule
The Rs 2,000 Seat Acceptance Fee is payable only after a candidate selects and locks an allotted option. Candidates who pay the fee must subsequently report to the concerned institute within the specified schedule for physical document verification and admission-related formalities.
According to the DCAP rules, candidates who pay the Seat Acceptance Fee but fail to report will face immediate debarment from the remaining DCAP process and the entire counselling system. However, any earlier valid admission held by the candidate, if applicable, will remain protected.
