Nitin Nabin is a seasoned Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerging as a key player at the national level of the party. He is now the leading figure in the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) power structure at the national level. Nabin Kishore Prasad Sinha, Nitin’s father, who was a senior leader of the BJP and a four-time MLA in the Bihar Assembly, co-parented Nabin in a political atmosphere.
After the untimely demise of his father, Nitin Nabin turned to politics and gradually built up his public profile. The BJP-ruled party in late 2025 appointed him as National Working President, thus making him the most likely candidate to succeed J.P. Nadda, the incumbent.

Nitin Nabin: Early Life & Education
Nitin Nabin was born in Ranchi (undivided Bihar), but as a child, he relocated to Patna. As a member of the Kayastha caste, he was brought up surrounded by the politics of the BJP through his father, who was a senior organizer of the party based at Patna.
Finished the intermediate education (Class XII) in 1998; has no further degree registered. His popularity among the professionals and traders of Patna was molded by his urban middle-class origin.

Nitin Nabin’s Political Career:
At the age of 26, he won the Patna West by-election, leveraging his father's political network. Following delimitation (2008), he shifted to Bankipur – a prominent urban constituency in Patna Sahib, home to major colleges like Patna College and Science College.
He served as National General Secretary and State President of Bihar, and led high-profile campaigns such as the National Unity Yatra (J&K) and the Guwahati-Tawang Martyrs' March (a tribute to the 1965 war).
The appointment of Nabin as the BJP National Working President on December 14, 2025, is a generational change of leadership in the ruling party of India. This makes the 45-year-old Bihar MLA the youngest and the first Bihari to be named to this organisationally important position.
Nabin, who was appointed by the BJP Parliamentary Board, immediately, is in effect deputy to outgoing president J.P. Nadda, with day-to-day operations being conducted under preparation of the 2026 presidential election in which Nabin is the front-runner.
