Bhatgaon Assembly Election 2023: The elections to the 90 Assembly constituencies in Chhattisgarh will be held later this year. The Election Commission has announced that the elections in the state of Chhattisgarh will be held in two phases, the first phase will be held on November 7 for 20 seats and the second phase will be held on November 17 for the 70 other state assembly seats.
The Bhatgaon constituency is one among the 90 Assembly constituencies in Chhattisgarh. Bhatgaon is a Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Chhattisgarh and is part of the Surguja (ST) Lok Sabha constituency. Bhatgaon falls in the Surajpur district and North region of Chhattisgarh and is usually categorised as a rural seat.
The total electorate encompassing the Bhatgaon constituency comprises 2,19,508 eligible voters. This count is composed of 1,10,783 male voters and 1,08,711 female voters, as per the 2018 date of the Election Commission.
Bhatgaon Assembly Election 2018:
In the 2018 Bhatgaon election, Congress’ Paras Nath Rajwade won the seat against BJP’s Rajni Ravishankar Tripathi by a margin of 15,734 votes. Rajni Ravishankar Tripathi grabbed over 58,889 votes and Congress’ Paras Nath Rajwade grabbed over 74,623 votes with a vote percentage of 43.29 per cent.

Bhatgaon Assembly Election 2013:
In the 2013 election, Congress’ Paras Nath Rajwade emerged victorious by a margin of 7,368 votes. Paras Nath Rajwade managed to secure the support of 41.54 per cent of the total votes counted defeating BJP’s Rajni Ravishankar Tripathi who got 37 per cent of votes of the total turnout.
