Raipur City West Assembly Election 2023: The Raipur City West Assembly segment went to the polls in two phases, November 7 and November 17, along with the 90 other Assembly constituencies in Chhattisgarh. The Raipur City West Assembly constituency recorded a voter turnout of 55.94 per cent. The results for the elections will be declared on December 3 along with the results for the other three states which went to polls earlier in November. The results of the Mizoram Assembly elections will be declared on December 4.
The Raipur City West constituency is one among the 90 Assembly constituencies in Chhattisgarh and is the Vidhan Sabha constituency. Raipur City West is a state Assembly constituency and a part of the Raipur Parliamentary constituency. It falls in the Raipur district and Central region of Chhattisgarh and is usually categorised as an urban seat.

Vikas Upadhyay of the Congress and Rajesh Munat of the BJP are locked in a political battle in the Raipur City West constituency of the 2023 Chhattisgarh state Assembly Elections. The constituency of Raipur City West comprises a total of 2,48,278 voters, which includes 1,27,885 male voters, and 1,20,350 female voters. In the 2018 Chhattisgarh elections, the constituency of Raipur City West recorded a voter turnout of 60.45%, while in 2013 it was 64.22%, and in 2008 the recorded vote turnout was 59.04%.

In the 2018 Raipur City Gramin assembly elections, Vikas Upadhyay from the Indian National Congress (INC) won the elections by defeating Rajesh Munat from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by securing a total of 76,359 votes, which accounted for 50.86% vote margin. In the 2013 elections, Rajesh Munat from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as the winner of the constituency by defeating Vikas Upadhyay from Congress with a margin of 6,160 votes. While in the 2008 elections, Rajesh Moonat from BJP won the assembly elections once again with a total of 51,391 votes.
