Guna Election Result 2024 LIVE Key Candidates:

The constituency has been an open battleground for different parties since its establishment in 1952. Guna is historically a stronghold of the Scindia family, as Vijaya Raje Scindia, Madhavrao Scindia and Jyotiraditya Scindia have all seen electoral success here.

The winning candidate for the Guna Lok Sabha seat in 2019 was Krishna Pal Singh "KP" Yadav from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Yadav's victory marked a significant win for the BJP. His campaign focused on local development issues, agrarian distress, and unemployment, resonating with the concerns of the electorate.

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP fielded Jyotiraditya Scindia, dropping its sitting MP. Scindia has won four times from this seat on Congress’s ticket. Meanwhile, Congress has put forth Yadvendra Rao Deshraj Singh. He joined Congress after leaving BJP in 2023. Interestingly, this is Yadvendra Singh’s first attempt at mainstream politics unlike Scindia, who has previously been a four-time MP from the seat.
