Karnataka Assembly Election 2023: The much anticipated Karnataka assembly elections are just a few days ahead and the participating parties are preparing to pave their way towards the win. The election to the 224-member Karnataka legislative assembly will take place on May 10 and the results will be announced on May 13, 2023.

Arkalgud is one of the 224 assembly constituencies in Karnataka state. The General category assembly seat is situated in Hassan district and is one of the 8 assembly segments of the Hasan Parliament Seat. The winning party must have 113 seats to form the government out of 224 constituencies in the state.

Arkalgud Assembly Election 2023

This year, the Southern state is all set to witness a high-stake contest between the national parties of the country. The contesting candidates for this year’s assembly elections in Arkalgud constituency are A Manju from Janata Dal JD(S), Javaregowda from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), HP Sridhar Gowda from Indian National Congress (INC) and Yoga Ramesh from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

In 2018, AT Ramaswamy of the Janata Dal (Secular) won the seat by defeating Manju A of the Indian National Congress with a margin of 10,653 votes. Meanwhile, in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Janata Dal (Secular) candidate Prajwal Revanna won from Hassan Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with a margin of 141324 votes by defeating Manju A of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Arkalgud Assembly Election 2018

In 2018, AT Ramaswamy from Janata Dal emerged as a winner of the assembly elections with a margin of 85,064 votes. Manju A who contested from Indian National Congress was runner-up with a vote margin of 74,411. While Bharatiya Janata Party’s candidate H Yogaramesha came third with a margin of 22,679 votes.
