Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 4: The campaigning for fourth phase voting on May 13 came to a halt on Saturday. As many as 96 seats across 10 states will witness voting exercise in this phase. Over 1,717 candidates are in the fray to try their luck in this phase. In this phase, the electoral fate of leaders such as Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav (Kannauj), Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni (Khiri), Union Minister Giriraj Singh (Begusarai), Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury (Baharampur), BJP leader Pankaja Munde (Beed), TMC's Mahua Moitra (Krishnanagar), and AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi (Hyderabad) will be decided.

In the Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 4, voting will take place on 13 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 8 in West Bengal, 5 in Bihar, 11 in Maharashtra, 8 in Madhya Pradesh, 4 in Jharkhand, 4 in Odisha, 1 in Jammu and Kashmir, and all seats in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, totalling 17 and 25 respectively.

At present 40 lawmakers in these 96 seats are from NDA. In Uttar Pradesh, the voting in the fourth phase will take place in Shahjahanpur, Khiri, Daurala, Sitapur, Hardoi, Misrikh, Unnao, Farrukhabad, Etawah, Kannauj, Kanpur, Akbarpur, and Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh. In the 2019 elections, BJP won all these seats.

Notably, in this election, spanning seven phases, voting for 102 constituencies of 21 states and union territories was covered in the first phase on April 19. In the second phase, which took place on April 26, voting was held in 89 constituencies across 13 states and union territories.

The third phase saw voting for 93 Lok Sabha seats in 11 states. The result will be declared on June 4.
