Sagar (Madhya Pradesh) Assembly Election 2023: On November 17, 2023, Madhya Pradesh will have elections for the 230 Assembly constituencies. The election results will be made public on December 3, 2023.

Sagar is a Madhya Pradesh state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency that is part of the Sagar Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Sagar is located in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar district and Vindhya Pradesh region. It is classified as an urban seat.

The seat has a total of 2,01,423 voters, with 1,04,781 male voters and 96,634 female voters. Sagar had a 64.52 per cent voter turnout in the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections. Turnout was 64.83 per cent in 2013, and 58.15 per cent in 2008.

Sagar Assembly Election 2018 and 2013

In 2018, Shailendra Jain of BJP won the seat with 67,227 votes (50.96 per cent).

Shailendra Jain of the BJP won the seat by a margin of 8,223 votes (6.54 per cent) in 2013. Shailendra Jain received 51.16 per cent of the votes cast.

The BJP won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections by a margin of 20,851 votes (24.18 per cent), accounting for 53.34 per cent of all votes cast.
