12th Fail On OTT: Starring Vikrant Massey, '12th Fail' is one of the most talked about movies so far. Released on October 27, 2023, the movie is based on the 2019 eponymous non-fiction book by Anurag Pathak about Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame extreme poverty to become an Indian Police Service officer.Following much anticipation, '12th Fail' finally debuted on the popular OTT platform Disney+Hotstar on December 29, 2023, exclusively in Hindi. However, fans eagerly awaited its availability in Telugu, Tamil, and other Southern languages, which had yet to be announced.

To the delight of audiences and critics alike, the movie not only earned widespread praise but also exceeded expectations, transforming into a sleeper hit. Its impressive global earnings surpassed Rs 62 crore (US$7.8 million), a remarkable feat considering the film's modest budget of Rs 20 crore (US$2.5 million). This success underscores the film's ability to captivate audiences and achieve significant financial acclaim without the need for extravagant production costs.
Adapted from Anurag Pathak's non-fiction book of the same name published in 2019, the movie chronicles the inspiring real-life journey of Manoj Kumar Sharma. Rising from dire poverty, Sharma ultimately achieves the prestigious rank of an Indian Police Service officer.
Vikrant Massey takes on the titular role, sharing the screen with a cast that includes Medha Shankar, Anant V Joshi, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Priyanshu Chatterjee.
