12th Fail has had a successful run since its release in the theatres and its OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar. Bollywood sensation Alia Bhatt has showered praise for the film, calling it one of the most beautiful films she has seen in a while. The actress took to Instagram to express her admiration for the movie and its stellar cast, particularly highlighting Vikrant Massey's "spectacular" performance.

In her Instagram Stories, Alia shared a poster of 12th Fail and couldn't contain her love for the film. She commended the entire cast, with special mentions for Vikrant Massey, Medha Shankar, and Anant V Joshi. Alia was effusive in her praise for the heartwarming and special journey portrayed in the movie.

Alia Bhatt wrote, “One of the most beautiful films I have seen in a while! With such fabulous performances.. Just too too too beautiful!!!! @vikrantmassey you were so so spectacular I am in awe! @medhashankr heart and soul of Manoj's journey.. so special and fresh and all things heartwarming! @anantvjoshi outstanding! '12th Fail', directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, has been gaining widespread acclaim from various Bollywood celebrities. Before Alia Bhatt, stars like Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, Kangana Ranaut, and Vijay Deverakonda have expressed their admiration for the film on social media. 

Hrithik Roshan, in particular, called 12th Fail a master class in filmmaking, praising Vidhu Vinod Chopra's brilliance. However, Roshan is being criticised for not mentioning Vikrant Massey's performance in the film while talking about it. The film has also received appreciation from industry veterans like Kamal Haasan, Rishabh Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Farhan Akhtar, and Anil Kapoor.

'12th Fail' revolves around the challenging journey of UPSC aspirants, drawing inspiration from real-life experiences. The film sheds light on the gritty struggles faced by millions of students attempting the UPSC entrance exam. Released in theatres on October 27, the film garnered positive word of mouth and good reviews, amassing a gross worldwide collection of ₹66 crore.

Vikrant Massey, who plays a pivotal role in the film, shared insights into his challenging experience working on 12th Fail. Talking To ANI, he mentioned, “The movie is very typical Vidhu Vinod Chopra movie which is based on hard reality and is a very hard-hitting film. The role was very challenging. I had to lose weight and darken my skin.”

With its compelling narrative and powerful performances, 12th Fail continues to leave a lasting impact on both audiences and Bollywood celebrities alike, solidifying its position as a must-watch cinematic gem.
