Akhil Mishra, who played the role of librarian Dubey in the Aamir Khan led ‘3 Idiots’ has passed away in an unfortunate accident. The actor was just 58 and was working in his kitchen when he slipped and had a harsh fall. His wife-actress Suzanne Bernert was in Hyderabad for a shoot and rushed back home, when she found out about her husband’s sudden demise.
According to a report in ETimes, Akhil Mishra’s body has been sent for post-mortem, meanwhile his wife is in utter shock. The actress has been making arrangements and is already preparing for the cremation of her husband. She said, “My heart is broken, my second half is gone.”
Talking about Akhil Mishra’s professional career, the actor has been a part of several popular films and was a renowned name in the television world. He was primarily known for his role as Librarian Dubey in ‘3 Idiots’ and was also seen in the TV show ‘Uttaran’ starring Rashmi Desai.
The actor has played small roles in films like ‘Don’, ‘Well Don Abba’, ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’, ‘Gandhi My Father’ and several others. He was also seen in several television shows including ‘CID’, ‘Shrimaan Shrimati’, ‘Pardes Mein Mila Koi Apna’, and others.
The actor was earlier married to Manju Mishra, who passed away in 1997. He later on married German actress Suzanne Bernert in 2009. The two had shared the screen in ‘Kram’ and were also seen together in the television show ‘Mera Dil Deewana.’
