K-Dramas On OTT Recommended By BTS: The success of the most popular K-pop groups worldwide can be attributed to their relentless hard work, complemented by their considerable talent, of course. A quick look at the packed agendas of RM, Suga, Jin, V, Jungkook, Jimin, and J-Hope reveals a hectic schedule filled with activities such as concerts, endorsements, studio sessions, interviews, and much more. Their timetables are so incredibly busy that the term 'busy' itself would feel inadequate. Nevertheless, during the rare moments they manage to secure some respite, they find comfort in pursuits like leisurely walks in the park, visits to art galleries, reading, staying fit, or simply enjoying some music.

However, they have openly admitted in numerous interviews and live sessions that nothing beats the simple pleasure of lounging on the couch and watching television. They often take to social media to share what they've been enthusiastically watching lately. Whether you're a seasoned K-drama enthusiast in search of a new series or an ARMY member keen to delve into the preferences of your favourite BTS member, we've put together an extensive list of K-dramas that BTS has recommended, all of which are unquestionably worth exploring.

Crash Landing On You – J Hope (Netflix)

Synopsis: Billionaire heiress Yoon Se-ri, portrayed by Son Ye-jin, ends up in North Korea following a paragliding mishap. There, she encounters the honourable Captain Ri Jeong-Hyeok, played by Hyun Bin, who is an officer in the North Korean army. While striving to find her way back home, she forms new friendships and experiences love.

In a VLive session, as reported by Hindustan Times, J-Hope had expressed his genuine love for how the love story unfolded, describing it as deeply touching. He also shared his hope to encounter something similar in his own life.

Twenty Five Twenty One – Jungkook (Netflix)

Synopsis: Set in 1998, the series revolves around Na Hee Do, portrayed by Kim Tae-Ri, an 18-year-old high school fencer who eventually joins the national team. Baek Yi Jin, played by Nam Joo-Hyuk, grapples with his family's financial loss by taking up part-time jobs as a newspaper delivery person. He later becomes a sports reporter for a broadcasting network. Together, they embark on a journey of love and personal transformation.

In an Instagram story, Jungkook shared that he was watching a scene from this K-drama, a move that garnered significant appreciation from both viewers and critics.

Sky Castle – RM, Suga, Jin (Prime Video)

Synopsis: In the upscale SKY Castle neighbourhood, four women are dedicated to raising their children in an environment of privilege, all the while ensuring their husbands maintain their successful careers. However, each woman faces her own unique set of challenges. For instance, Han Seo-Jin (portrayed by Yum Jung-Ah) is married to surgeon Kang Joon-Sang (played by Jung Joon-Ho) and has two daughters. Despite her outwardly glamorous life, she harbours a hidden secret. The series also highlights other professions such as a writer, a law school professor, and an orthopaedic surgeon.

BTS leader RM, also known as Namjoon, expressed his anticipation for the finale of the K-drama, which he eagerly rushed home to watch. Suga, who is also a fan, mentioned that RM didn't let him watch it until he did. Jin has previously mentioned that he's a fan of the show as well.

Squid Game – V (Netflix)

Synopsis: 456 players, all burdened with financial debts, are compelled to participate in a series of deadly children's games with a substantial cash prize awaiting the winner. This includes characters like Seong Gi-Hun, who has lost his job, and Cho Sang-Woo, who faces accusations of mishandling company funds. Throughout the narrative, societal issues and harsh realities are brought to the forefront.

Kim Taehyung, popularly known as V, was caught up in the excitement surrounding the K-drama upon its initial release. He even dressed up as a guard from the show while performing ‘Permission To Dance' in LA in 2021.

Sweet Home – RM (Netflix)

Synopsis: Following a tragedy, Cha Hyun-Soo, portrayed by Song Kang, decides to leave his home and find a place of his own. However, his new apartment becomes the setting for a sudden invasion of monsters, leaving residents trapped inside and struggling to defend themselves.

In a live interaction with fans, BTS' RM shared some of his favourites, including K-dramas, music, and books. He mentioned that he had enjoyed Song Kang's apocalyptic drama and recommended it as a worthwhile watch.

Kingdom- Jimin (Netflix)

Synopsis: Set during the Joseon Dynasty, the story unfolds as the king falls ill with smallpox. Chief state councillor Cho Hak-Ju, portrayed by Ryoo Seung-Ryong, decides to conceal the king's death until Queen Jo, played by Kim Hye-Jun, can give birth to a son. This is done to prevent the illegitimate Crown Prince Lee Chang, played by Ju Ji-Hoon, from seizing the throne. To accomplish this, Cho Hak-Ju prohibits anyone from seeing the king, instead administering him a resurrection dose that transforms him into a monster at night. Frustrated by this situation, the prince seeks out Physician Lee Seung-Hui, played by Kwon Bum-Taek, the last person to treat his father, only to uncover a rising threat of zombies.

Jimin shared with his fans that he found the period drama enjoyable, highlighting its significant suspenseful aspect.
