6 Most Popular Web Series Of 2024: This year some of the most entertaining shows have been released on OTT which won the hearts of the audience. Few among them as sequels of hit web series and some are newly launched shows. These dramas are also the most talked about shows of 2024. So, if you are curating your binge list for this month then you should not miss these shows’ names. From Mirzapur Season 3, Panchayat 3 to Citadel: Honey Bunny, everything to look for on Netflix, Prime Video, Disney + Hotstar, Zee5 and other streaming platforms.
Mirzapur Season 3 (Prime Video)
The third sequel of the Mirzapur franchise is one of the most anticipated shows of this year. As the Tripathis reign in Purvanchal is over in the second season, Guddu and Golu become the new contenders as they stake their claim to the throne. The show features Ali Fazal as Guddu Pandit, Rasika Dugal as Beena Tripathi, Shweta Tripathi as Golu Gupta and Pankaj Tripathi as Akhandanand Tripathi.
Panchayat Season 3 (Prime Video)
As the Panchayat elections approach in the village, Pradhan and Bhushan gang up to engage in a battle to uplift their public image. Abhishek maintained his objectivity in the scenario. The show stars Jitendra Kumar as Abhishek Tripathi, Raghubir Yadav as Brijbhushan Dubey, Chandan Roy as Vikas Kumar, Faisal Malik as Prahlad Pandey, Neena Gupta as Manju Devi Dubey and Sanvikaa Rinki Dubey.
Citadel: Honey Bunny (Prime Video)
The story focuses on the agents whose life changed after they came across a mission. Honey and Bunny got separated after the mission but soon they had to reunite to protect their daughter. The series features Varun Dhawan as Bunny, Samantha Ruth Prabhu as Honey, Kay Kay Menon as Guru, Kashvi Majmundar as Nadia, Simran as Zooni, and Saqib Saleem as KD.
Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar (Netflix)
The show focuses on the lives of courtesans in the pre-independence India. The series stars Manisha Koirala as Mallikajaan, Sonakshi Sinha as Fareedan, Aditi Rao Hydari as Bibbo, Richa Chadha as Lajjo, Sharmin Segal as Alamzeb and Sanjeeda Sheikh as Waheeda.
Gullak Season 4 (SonyLIV)
The series revolves around the day-to-day lives of the Mishra family and their dependence on Gullak's ‘piggy bank’. The show features Jameel Khan as Santosh Mishra, Geetanjali Kulkarni as Shanti Mishra, Vaibhav Raj Gupta as Anand Mishra (Annu) and Harsh Mayar as Aman Mishra.
IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack (Netflix)
The show focuses on the 1999 Khandar flight hijack incident which was later diverted to Kandahar under Taliban control. It stars Harry Parmar Doctor (Main Hijacker), Naseeruddin Shah, Patralekhaa Paul, Yashpal Sharma, Dibyendu Bhattacharya and Pankaj Kapur in prominent roles.
