Aamir Khan is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood and is currently on a break from acting after the release of his last movie 'Laal Singh Chaddha'. He recently produced the movie 'Laapataa Ladies', which is streaming on Netflix. The actor appeared on 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' as a guest to promote 'Laapataa Ladies' and talked about his personal and professional life. Aamir Khan is known for not attending the award shows and revealed the reason behind his decision.
Talking about not accepting the awards, Aamir said at 'The Great Indian Kapil Show', "Time is very precious. You need to use it wisely.”

Earlier, while speaking at the News18 conference, the '3 Idiots' star talked about doing romantic movies in future and said that his character should be age-appropriate. He said, "Agar romantic kahani hogi toh zarur. Iss age mein romance thora uncommon hota hai. Kahani ke hisaab se agar main character suit karunga toh kyun nahi karna chahunga? (If there's a romantic film I can do, sure. It's a little uncommon to explore romance at my age. If I suit the character and the story, why not?)"
He added, "Har genre karna chahunga. Par age-wise thora suitable hona chahiye. Suddenly main 18 ho gaya ho woh nahi karna chahunga. (I would like to explore every genre of film. But, it's important that I suit the age of the character. If there's a role that suddenly requires me to look 18, I don't want to do that.)”
Aamir Khan announced a break from acting after the failure of 'Laal Singh Chadha'. While announcing a break in 2022, he told ANI, “When I am doing a film as an actor, I get so lost in that that nothing else happens in my life. I was supposed to do a film after Laal Singh Chaddha called Champions. It’s a wonderful script, a beautiful story, and it’s a very heartwarming and lovely film. But I feel that I want to take a break, be with my family, with my mom, my kids."
“I feel I have been working for 35 years and I have single-mindedly been focused on my work. I feel that it’s not fair to people who are close to me. This is the time I feel I have to take some time off to be with them and actually experience life in a different way. I am looking forward to the next year, a year-and-a-half in which I am not working as an actor," he added
On the work front, the actor will reportedly start shooting for his next movie 'Sitaare Zameen Par'.
