Aamir Khan, who was last seen in Sitaare Zameen Par, was reportedly to dive into a completely new and intense genre. The actor-producer as per recent reports was keeping a close watch on the recent Meghalaya Honeymoon Murder case, which had shocked the nation. The murder case, which dominated news headlines, involved a woman named Sonam, who has been accused of killing her husband Raja Raghuvanshi during their honeymoon in Meghalaya. While it was believed that Aamir Khan will soon convert this case into a film, latest reports claim that these are just rumours.
Aamir Khan, according to early reports in Times Now, had been “personally tracking” the case and “discussing the details with his close circle.” But speaking to Bollywood Hungama, the 60 year old said, "There is absolutely no truth to it." He added, "I honestly don't know where these stories start." The shocking details and psychological twists of the case have caught the attention of many, but it appears Aamir is currently not interested in developing any film based on that case
Sitaare Zameen Par Movie Details
Aamir Khan’s latest movie, Sitaare Zameen Par, has been doing exceptionally well at the box office. The film is a spiritual sequel to the 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par, but this time, the focus is on sports and overcoming disabilities through teamwork. The film also features Genelia Deshmukh in a leading role, along with ten fresh faces who mark their acting debut. Directed by RS Prasanna, the movie has seen a strong run even into its fifth week. As of July 18, the film has collected Rs 165.35 crore nett in India and Rs 262.75 crore globally, according to Sacnilk. Interestingly, Sitaare Zameen Par is also a remake of the Hollywood film The Champions.
Aamir Khan’s Upcoming Projects
On the work front, The Dangal actor is all set to star in the much-anticipated Tamil movie Coolie. This star-studded film will also feature South Indian superstars like Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Shruti Haasan, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, Monisha Blessy, and Kaali Venkat. Another exciting update is that the 60-year-old may soon return to singing after more than 25 years. His first and only popular singing performance was in 1998 when he sang ‘Aati Kya Khandala’ for the movie Ghulam, a song that became a massive hit at the time. Recent reports suggest that the actor is planning to lend his voice again for one of his upcoming projects.
