About Aavesham

Produced by Nazriya Nazim and Anwar Rasheed, the film features Hipzster, Mithun Jai Shankar, and Roshan Shanavas in prominent roles. With a budget of Rs 30 crore, it has grossed over Rs 150 crore, positioning itself as one of the highest-grossing Malayalam, South Indian, and Indian films of 2024.

Aju (Hipster), Bibi (Mithun Jai Shankar), and Shanthan (Roshan Shahnavaz) set out on a journey from Kerala to Bangalore with aspirations of pursuing engineering degrees, selecting BK Hostel for its reputed freedom. However, a confrontation with senior student Kutty (Midhutty) quickly escalates into a violent clash. In their quest for vengeance, they form an alliance with gangster Ranga (Fahadh Faasil), only to discover the insincerity of his gang's intentions.

Despite initial successes, their association with Ranga negatively impacts their academic endeavors, ultimately leading to their expulsion. Subsequently, they find themselves abducted by Reddy (Mansoor Ali Khan), Ranga's former superior, who accuses him of deceit. In their attempt to escape, they stumble upon a startling revelation about him. Upon realising their mistake in exploiting him for revenge, they extend their apologies. Ranga confronts Reddy single-handedly and emerges victorious. Ultimately, only Shanthan manages to pass the exams, while Aju and Bibi face failure. Encountering Ranga once again, they face consequences for their actions.

With music by Sushin Shyam and cinematography by Sameer Thahir, the film earned critical acclaim upon its release on April 11 for its direction, performances (notably Fahadh Faasil and Sajin Gopu), action sequences, cinematography, and musical score.
