Abhay Deol is all set to star in a Hollywood movie titled 'Don't You Be My Neighbor!', which will be a romantic comedy. He will be seen alongside Natasha Bassett, who is best known for her role in the biographical drama 'Elvis'. The movie will focus on Jay and Emily, who have different approaches to love and life. Harry Grewal will step in the director's shoes with a script by David Lamberston. Abhay announced the movie on his Instagram and expressed his excitement about the project.

Announcing the movie, Abhay wrote, "Very excited to announce this project, this script took me back to the late 80’s and early 90’s era of the Rom-Com. Excited to work with the lovely and talented @natashabassett and director Harry Grewal."

Harry Grewal will also produce the movie under his banner Grewal Films International alongside production partner Donna Grewal. Palta Film Production label's Raman Palta and Payal Palta will also produce 'Don't You Be My Neighbor!' with Jason Cherubini serving as executive producer.

While speaking to Deadline, Grewal said, "We are excited to bring this lighthearted and thought-provoking story to life. Abhay Deol and Natasha Bassett bring their immense talent and dedication to the lead roles, making them perfect for these characters.”

Producer Raman Palta said, "The movie will resonate with audiences as it delves into the heartache of losing love and the joy of finding it again. It’s a story that needs to be told, and we are thrilled to be working with such an exceptional team."

On the work front, Abhay was last seen in the Netflix series 'Trial By Fire', based on the book Trial by Fire: The Tragic Tale of the Uphaar Fire Tragedy written by Neelam Krishnamoorthy and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy. The series revolves around the tragic Uphaar Cinema fire incident which happened in 1997 and killed over 59 people.

He was also seen in the Disney movie 'Spin' with Avantika Vandanapu and Meera Syal.
