Despite the movie's success at the box office, writer Manoj Muntashir has been participating in interviews where he defends the film and responds to its critics. On Sunday (June 18), Muntashir expressed his frustration on Twitter regarding the negativity directed towards him.
However, instead of offering an apology, he provided an explanation for why his extensive script, consisting of approximately 4,000 lines, should not be judged solely based on five controversial lines.

Adipurush is a cinematic retelling of Valmiki's Ramayana helmed by director Om Raut. The star-studded cast includes Prabhas portraying Raghav, Kriti Sanon as Janki, Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, Sunny Singh as Shesh, and Devdutta Nage as Bajrang.
The film is reported to have an extravagant budget of Rs 500 crore. However, Adipurush has faced negative reviews and feedback from both critics and audiences. Considering the criticism, the makers have taken the decision to alter certain dialogues in the film.
Adding to the setbacks, the film's creators received another blow as Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah took to social media to announce an official ban on all Indian movies, including the Prabhas-starrer, in the city.
Earlier today, Shah issued a warning about potentially banning Indian films in Kathmandu due to an alleged misrepresentation of Sita's birthplace in Adipurush. He expressed his dissatisfaction with a dialogue in the film that states 'Janaki is a daughter of India,' as he believed that Sita was born in Nepal. Despite the lack of alterations made by the film's creators, Shah officially announced on Sunday that Indian films would not be released in the capital city of Nepal.
