The landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon on August 23 etched history. As the entire country celebrated the historic achievement, some trolls on ‘X’ found a new reason to slam Prabhas led ‘Adipurush.’ The mythological film helmed by Om Raut ended up as a disappointment in theatres and opened up to big numbers but poor reviews. The users compared the budgets of Chandrayaan-3 and ‘Adipurush’, and criticised the Prabhas starrer yet again.

‘Adipurush’ was released in theatres on June 16 amid massive expectations. The film was brutally trolled on social media and was mocked for its cringe dialogues and poor VFX creation. On August 23, India scripted history as Chandrayaan-3 landed on the South pole of the Moon at 6:04 PM. Soon, several users claimed that the budget of Chandrayaan-3 is less than the budget of Prabhas’ film. Comparing the two, Chandrayaan-3 managed to find a permanent place in history, ‘Adipurush’ was quoted as a ‘disgrace.’

Talking about the film, ‘Adipurush’ is a mythological action film, based on the Hindu epic, Ramayana. The film is directed by Om Raut and also features Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Saif Ali Khan. The film was initially budgeted at Rs 500 Crore, but due to the changes in visual effects, it was increased to Rs 700 Crore.

One of the most expensive films in India, ‘Adipurush’ earned around Rs 400 Crore in theatres, but opened to negative reviews. The music score of ‘Adipurush’ was given by Ajay-Atul.
