After the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, India has put a ban on Pakistani artists. Not only this, the upcoming movie featuring Pakistani actor Fawad Khan, has also been banned in the country. Now, in a new development, Pakistan has also put a ban on the film's release due to the inclusion of Indian actress, Vaani Kapoor, in it. 

According to a report in Siasat, Pakistani distributor Satish Anand has confirmed that Abir Gulaal will not be released in Pakistan because of the rising tension with India. He also stated that the film stars Vaani Kapoor, who is an Indian actress, which is also a reason for its ban in Pakistan. As noted by the distributor, the ban of Abir Gulaal in both the countries could cause a massive loss for the makers of film.

About the movie: The Hindi romantic movie, Abir Gulaal, has been directed by Aarti S and backed by Vivek B. Agrawal. The movie stars Vaani Kapoor and Fawad Khan in lead roles and is scheduled to hit the theatres on May 9, 2025. Apart from Vaani and Fawad, Abir Gulaal also stars Soni Razdan, Lisa Haydon, Ridhi Dogra and Farida Jalal. The story revolves around two individuals who find love and healing in each other's company.

In a horrifying turn of events, 26 tourists were shot dead in Pahalgam, Kashmir, on Tuesday afternoon. The attack took place in Baisaran Valley, also known as ‘mini Switzerland’. Armed attackers, equipped with M4 carbines and AK-47s, stormed the tourist spot surrounded by dense pine forests. According to survivors, the attackers targeted men, inquiring about their religion before shooting them.

Some victims were asked to recite the Islamic kalima verse. The attack resulted in 26 fatalities, including 25 tourists and a local Muslim pony operator who attempted to disarm the attackers. All but one of the tourists killed were Hindus; the exception was identified as a Christian.
