Ajay Devgn starrer cop movie Singham Again has been roaring at the box office. Amid the ongoing successful stint at the box office, the superstar shared that an earlier movie related to police was shown in bad light. But after Gangaajal and Singham, the perception has changed. Devgn further talked about Arjun Kapoor’s role in the film. He said that finally, Kapoor is getting his due as an actor. Ajay further mentioned that the movie came right time in Arjun’s career.
In an interview with ANI, Ajay said “I am thankful to the audience for giving us so much love. For a long time, the police were always shown in a negative light in films. Singham as well as Gangaajal was one of the first films that showed how an ideal police officer should be. After that, it became a trend of making positive films about police.”
While talking about Arjun, Ajay added “We all are really happy. Finally, Arjun is getting his due as an actor. Pehle kaafi log kuch ulta seedha bol rahe the (Earlier, many people passed demeaning remarks against him), but (Arjun, with his performance, proved them wrong). He proved himself again…For Arjun, the success of Singham Again has come at the right point.”
Singham Again features Ajay Devgn, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Dayanand Shetty and Shweta Tiwari in key roles. Salman Khan made a cameo in this film. Singham Again earned Rs 180.50 crore after 8 days of its release. The film was made on a budget of Rs 375 crore. It has been directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Rohit Shetty himself, Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande.
