Akshay Kumar Admits Being Less Qualified And Lauds Twinkle Khanna For Her Intelligence; Says ‘I’m Lucky To Marry…’

Akshay Kumar recently appreciated his wife Twinkle Khanna for her intelligence and calibre in taking good care of the family apart from work. The Bollywood star couple got married in 2001 and are parents of two children Aarav and Nitara. In an interview, Akshay said that his daughter is intelligent because of Twinkle. The superstar further admitted that he is not educated like his wife and called himself ‘anpadh’ and stated ‘Main gadha mazdoori karta hu.’

In a chat with Shikhar Dhawan for his show Dhawan Karenge, Akshay stated, “My daughter gets her intelligence from my wife, Twinkle. Main to anpadh aadmi hu, zyada padha nahi hu. Main gadha mazdoori karta hu, wo (Twinkle Khanna) dimag wali hai. (I am an illiterate man, I have not studied much. I do manual labour, whereas she is the one with the brain).” 

“I am lucky to marry superstar Rajesh Khanna’s daughter but I am lucky that she is a lovely wife and a lovely mother. If you get the right partner in life, then your life is perfect. I go to work and she has taken such good care of my children. I am surprised about how my wife looks at life even today. She is 50 now and still goes to study. She has finished her masters and is now doing her PhD.” he added.

Earlier, this year Twinkle shared the news of completing her Masters in Fiction Writing from a renowned university in London. She wrote on Instagram, “And it’s here. Graduation day. My first day at Goldsmiths feels like it was both yesterday and years ago. A sunny day, a pretty sari, and having my family with me make this day even more perfect than I ever imagined. There comes a stage when the easiest way to grow is horizontally, but we have to push ourselves to grow in myriad other ways:)”
