Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday and R Madhavan starrer highly-anticipated courtroom drama Kesari Chapter 2 is near its release in theatres. The trio is busy promoting the film and visiting different cities. Their latest stop is Amritsar, where they visited the Golden Temple to seek blessings. The photos and videos from their spiritual visit are going viral.

In another video, the actors are seen with their heads covered, as they offered prayers at the holy site. They also obliged fans for pictures.

About Kesari Chapter 2, the story explores the aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre with a narrative of a lawyer and former INC president, C Sankaran Nair, who fought fearlessly with the British Empire for the truth behind the horrific incident. Akshay Kumar portrays the role of Sankaran Nair, R Madhavan will be seen portraying Advocate Neville McKinley and Ananya Panday as Dilreet Gill. Besides them, the movie also stars Regina Cassandra, Simon Paisley Day and Steven Hartley. Written and directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari 2 is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra and Anand Tiwari. It is set to release on April 18. The film is based on the book The Case That Shook The Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat.
