Bollywood star Akshay Kumar is once again making headlines, this time for his strong views on modern action filmmaking. While fans are excited about his upcoming horror-comedy Bhoot Bangla, the actor has shared his honest opinion on the growing use of VFX in action scenes. His statement reflects his desire to bring back authenticity and real stunts to the big screen, something he believes audiences truly enjoy.

Akshay Kumar Wants Real Action Films Without VFX

In a recent interview with PTI, Akshay Kumar spoke about how action films have evolved over the years. He pointed out that earlier, action scenes were performed in real settings, but now filmmakers rely heavily on visual effects. According to him, this takes away the excitement and makes scenes look artificial. He said, “I want to make a film that is completely real.” His comment highlights his passion for genuine filmmaking.

Akshay Trained In Martial Arts 

Akshay, who is trained in martial arts like karate, taekwondo and kudo, emphasized that he prefers performing stunts himself. He explained, “If I am jumping, I am actually jumping, not using VFX. If I am kicking, I am doing it myself, not with the help of multiple people.” His dedication to physical performance has always been a major part of his identity as an action star.

Statement In the Age of AI

The actor further added that he wants to create an action film without relying on VFX, even in today’s technology-driven era. He said, “I want to make an action film without VFX. I am saying this in the age of AI. People may think what they want, but I want real action where the audience can feel the effort.” His statement clearly shows his commitment to authenticity.

Priyadarshan- Akshay Kumar Reunite After 14 Years With Bhoot Bangla

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar is set to reunite with director Priyadarshan for Bhoot Bangla, marking their comeback after 14 years. Their last film was Khatta Meetha in 2010. Jhooth Bangla is scheduled to release on April 17, 2026 after postponing and has already created strong buzz among fans.
