Akshay Kumar, who is gearing up for his upcoming movie Sky Force, has been busy prompting his film. The actor along with debutant Veer Pahariya was supposed to promote his film on the set of Bigg Boss 18 on its finale. However, Akshay left the set without shooting his part in the finale episode. Later, Veer Pahariya promoted Sky Force and also did Avinash Mishra’s eviction. Reacting to it, Akshay has now opened up about the reason behind his sudden exit.

During a press conference in Delhi, Akshay was asked if Salman Khan was late for shooting. He said, “He was not that late. I had reached, yeah. He came a little bit late because he had some personal work. And then we spoke about it, and he told me that he was late about 35 to 40 minutes. And what happened that I had to leave. So then we spoke about it, and I left, but Veer was there, so he shot with him.”

Earlier, filmmaker Anees Bazmee talked about Akshay Kumar’s punctuality. He told Lehren Retro, “Akshay is a very punctual man. We are always worried when working with him because if he says that we’ll start working at 7 am, then he will be there at 7 am. And we are not used to waking up at 6-7 am… Sometimes, we are too relaxed with Salman bhai because he will show up at around 1 pm, will have lunch but then he will stay until the end of the day.”

Coming back to Sky Force, the movie has been inspired by true events from one of the deadliest air strikes that took place between India and Pakistan. The action thriller stars Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur, Bogumila Bubiak and Irina Svecova in key roles. It has been directed by Abhishek Anil Kapur and Sandeep Kewlani. Sky Force is set to be released in theatres on January 24, 2025.
