Alappuzha Gymkhana vs Bazooka Box Office: Naslen's heartwarming boxing drama, Alappuzha Gymkhana and superstar Mammootty's action thriller Bazooka hit theatres on April 10. Even though both movies had momentum and festival excitement, only one converted that into a steady run at the box office.

Alappuzha Gymkhana made less noise when it first started the race, but it got noisier with each passing day. Young audiences responded well to Vishnu Vijay's catchy music, Khalid Rahman's direction and Naslen's rooted performance. Alappuzha Gymkhana continued to grow every day, reaching a total of Rs 19 crore, with an anticipated Rs 3.4 crore on day five and Rs 3 crore on day six. The Malayalam sports drama, in fact, never achieved anything less than its opening day.

Instead of the expected superstar, the young Naslen emerged victorious with the weekend title. Alappuzha Gymkhana has undoubtedly left the underdog category and is now heading directly for a blockbuster rank, thanks to strong word-of-mouth and consistent momentum.

Alappuzha Gymkhana revolves around a 19-year-old who is struggling with relationships and identity issues and unexpectedly enters the state boxing tournament to try to get grace marks. Coach Joshua's tough supervision helps Jojo and his gang transform from novices into challengers over time. This sports comedy, which combines humour, obstacles, and a quest for self-discovery, follows them as they face not only opponents but also their struggles as the tournament draws near.

With its strong star presence and captivating story, it made a respectable Rs 3.25 crore in its first weekend in Kerala alone. However, as the weekend went on, the numbers began to decline. The movie earned Rs 11.39 crore, with only Rs 90 lakh on day six and Rs 1.49 crore on day five.

The Mammootty movie is under pressure from Alappuzha Gymkhana's stellar box office results and conflicting audience reactions.

Benjamin plunges headfirst into a high-stakes pursuit of justice with the surprising assistance of notorious businessman and ethical hacker Antony John.
