Actor Ali Fazal is gearing up for his debut in the South Indian film industry with the highly anticipated movie Thug Life, directed by the legendary Mani Ratnam. The film also stars the iconic Kamal Haasan, marking a significant milestone in Fazal's career.

The film, touted to be a magnum opus by Mani Ratnam, promises to be a cinematic extravaganza. Fazal expressed his excitement about working with the stalwarts of Indian cinema in a conversation with Variety, stating, "I am truly thrilled to be a part of Mani Sir’s vision for ‘Thug Life.’ It’s also an honour to work alongside Kamal Haasan sir and share notes with him on this. The opportunity to collaborate with two stalwarts of Indian cinema has been humbling."

Details about Fazal's character in the film have been kept under wraps. However, production for Thug Life has officially commenced, with Fazal diving into his role as filming begins in Delhi. After exploring Anurag Basu’s cinematic worlds, Fazal is all set to bring depth and charisma to his new character.

To keep the audience engaged, the makers recently announced the latest addition to the cast – actor and director Silambarasan TR. The makers unveiled the first look of Silambarasan in the film, showing him riding a car on the dunes of a desert, hinting at his role as a cop in the movie.
