Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan have become one of fans' most beloved on-screen pairs. The duo made their debut together in Student of the Year and captivated audiences with their chemistry in the Dulhania franchise. Alia and Varun have received praise for their screen presence together. Fans eagerly await their reunion, and speculation about Dulhania 3 has sparked excitement. Recently, the Gangubai actress shared that she wants to reunite with Varun, but something is stopping them.
On February 2, Alia Bhatt attended a special fan meet-up in Mumbai. During the session, she was asked about reuniting with Varun Dhawan for the much-anticipated third installment of the Dulhania series. Responding to the Dulhania 3 question, the actress was heard saying, "Han par script honi chahiye na." However, excited fans encouraged her by saying, "Hum fans bana lenge." To this, Alia replied, "That’s a great idea. It will be the first of its kind. Why don’t you come together and write a script? It will be amazing. It’s a fabulous idea, in fact...chalo karo."

Alia and Varun started winning hearts with their performance in Student of the Year, which released back in 2012. The duo then appeared in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). Now, fans eagerly await their much-awaited reunion.
Like fans, the makers have a different take on Dulhania 3. In 2023, Karan Johar, in a conversation with Pinkvilla, revealed plans for the third installment. He said, "I don’t know how to plan these things. We do want to make the third Dulhania film, and I hope we will at some point. It’s a love story franchise that doesn’t really exist elsewhere—it’s something we created. After Humpty and Badri, we’re definitely looking forward to making another Dulhania film." Let's wait and see what happens.
