Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh welcomed their first child, a baby girl on September 8. The couple confirmed the news via a heartwarming Instagram post, which immediately drew attention from fans and celebrities alike. The actors’ joint post, featuring the message "Welcome baby girl! 8.9.2024, Deepika & Ranveer" on a white background, was a simple yet touching announcement of their joy. As soon as the news broke, social media was flooded with congratulatory messages from their friends and colleagues in the film industry. Actors Kriti Sanon, Shraddha Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra and many others took to Instagram to express their happiness for the couple.

Bollywood stars were quick to share their love and best wishes in the comments section of Deepika and Ranveer's post. Shraddha Kapoor excitedly wrote, “Congratulations!!!” with multiple red heart emojis, while Kriti Sanon expressed her joy, saying, "Congratulationssss."

Alia Bhatt, sharing in the joyous moment, posted a series of red heart and congratulatory face emojis, while Priyanka Chopra simply commented, "Congratulations" with red heart emojis.

Parineeti Chopra, who has worked with both actors, wrote a long congratulatory message saying, “Congratssssssss,” emphasizing her excitement. Actor Arjun Kapoor playfully wrote, “Laxmi aayi hai!!! The queen is here,” celebrating the birth of their daughter.

Other celebrities like Ananya Panday also shared their joy, commenting, “Baby girl! Congratulations.” Bhumi Pednekar and Vaani Kapoor chimed in with simple yet heartfelt messages, “Congratulations” and “Congratulations," respectively.

Sunil Grover, known for his comic timing, shared his happiness with “Badhai ho!!! Best," while Athiya Shetty added to the growing list of well-wishers by writing “Congratulations” along with heart emojis. Actor Malaika Arora and Sonakshi Sinha also joined in, sending warm wishes filled with heart emojis, showing their support for the new parents.

Angad Bedi was among those who blessed the newborn with his comment, “Waheguru bless the baby angel... and both the wonderful parents.” Deepika and Ranveer first announced their pregnancy in February 2024, sharing their excitement about their growing family. Their baby girl was born at Mumbai’s HN Reliance Hospital, marking a new chapter in their lives. The announcement has taken social media by storm, with fans and followers expressing their joy, some even suggesting beautiful names for the little one.

The couple’s love story dates back to 2013 when they met on the sets of Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Over the years, they starred together in other iconic films like Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, which further solidified their on-screen and off-screen chemistry.

On the work front, Deepika was last seen in Kalki 2898 AD, where she portrayed a pregnant test subject. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin, became a blockbuster hit. The film is slated for release around Diwali 2024 and will see the couple sharing screen space once again.
