Alia Bhatt is all set to captivate audiences with her upcoming movie Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala. In a recent conversation with Tried & Refused Productions, the actress shared how a piece of advice from ace director SS Rajamouli played a pivotal role in her decision to take up the film.

Alia revealed that during a discussion with Rajamouli, he mentioned something that deeply resonated with her. “Rajamouli sir said this to me once: action is maybe the pillars and the walls, but if the foundation of the building is not strong, and that foundation is your emotion, the building will just collapse,” Alia shared.

This advice stayed with her, making her realize that the emotional depth of a character is crucial, even in action-heavy roles. Alia explained that she felt a strong connection to her Jigra character because of the role’s vigour and emotional strength. She added, “It’s cool to see a woman fight. You don’t have to think of it as a woman fighting; it’s just a human being fighting for whatever reason.”
