Allu Arjun recently visited KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad to meet Sri Teja, an eight-year-old boy injured during the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre. The incident occurred on December 4, 2024, during the premiere of Arjun's highly anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule. The boy is currently undergoing treatment and has shown signs of recovery after being unresponsive for 20 days.
Arjun arrived at the hospital wearing a green sweater and black pants, accompanied by his team. The Telangana State Film Development Corporation Chairman, Dil Raju, was also present during the visit. Security was heightened at the hospital to manage public order, given the actor’s popularity. Initially scheduled for January 5, the visit was postponed and later carried out on January 7.

Allu Arjun expressed his deep concern for Sri Teja and his family. The actor had earlier stated his eagerness to meet the boy but delayed his visit due to ongoing legal proceedings and advice from law enforcement. Speaking about the incident, Arjun wished for the child’s speedy recovery and emphasized his support for the family.
The boy’s father, Bhaskar, expressed gratitude for the actor’s involvement and the support provided by the Telangana government. He shared the positive news of his son’s progress, saying, “The child responded after 20 days. He is responding today. Allu Arjun and the Telangana government are supporting us.”
The stampede at Sandhya Theatre claimed the life of a woman named Revathi, who was Sri Teja’s mother. Several others sustained injuries in the chaos as fans thronged the venue to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun. Following the incident, a case was registered against the actor, his security team, and the theatre management. Arjun was arrested on December 13, 2024, under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). He was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court the next day and received regular bail on January 3, 2025.
