Amaran Box Office Collection Day 15: Sivakarthikeyan's latest film Amaran continues to soar at the box office, recording impressive collections on its 15th day. The movie has grossed Rs 172 crore in just over two weeks, showing no signs of slowing down even with the release of Kanguva, a high-profile film starring Suriya that premiered to mixed reviews.

Released on October 31, 2024, Amaran quickly captured the audience's interest as a biographical drama depicting the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, a soldier who sacrificed his life in the 2014 Qazipathri Operation in Shopian. Sivakarthikeyan's portrayal of Mukund has resonated deeply with viewers, and the film’s steady momentum reflects its lasting appeal.

On November 14, Amaran held a strong Tamil occupancy rate of 25.73 per cent, maintaining consistent audience attendance across all shows. Morning screenings started at 18.80 per cent occupancy, while evening and night shows climbed to nearly 30 per cent, further indicating robust interest from Tamil moviegoers. According to early estimates by Sacnilk.com, Amaran collected Rs 3.15 crore on day 15 alone, underscoring its sustained popularity and positive word-of-mouth.

In contrast, Suriya's Kanguva, released just a day before, brought in Rs 22 crore on its opening day. Despite the strong start, the film's reception has been mixed, with audience responses impacting its ongoing box office performance. Kanguva’s uncertain trajectory seems to have had little impact on Amaran, which remains unaffected by competition in Tamil Nadu's cinema market.

Amaran Movie Budget:

Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and produced by Kamal Haasan, R Mahendran and Vivek Krishnani, Amaran was made on a budget of Rs 130 crore. With its powerful storyline and poignant tribute to a brave soldier, the film has clearly connected with audiences, cementing Sivakarthikeyan’s role as a versatile and impactful actor.

The star-studded cast, featuring Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Suresh Chakravarthy, Shreekumar and Mir Salman, has also contributed to the film's wide appeal.
