Amaran, directed by Rajkumar Periyaswamy and produced by Raajkamal Film International and Sony Pictures Films India, is a poignant tale of love, sacrifice and patriotism. Following its blockbuster box office success, the OTT release, initially slated for November, has been delayed, despite Netflix securing digital rights, allowing theatres to continue capitalising on its overwhelming popularity.

About Amaran
Amaran brings to life the heroic story of Major Mukund Varadarajan. The film follows Mukund's journey through the eyes of his wife, Indhu Rebecca Varghese, as she recounts his bravery on her way to receive his posthumous Ashoka Chakra award in New Delhi.
Sivakarthikeyan's 21st film, initially titled Sivakarthikeyan 21, was officially announced in January 2022 and later renamed "Amaran" in February 2024. Filming began in May 2023, with schedules in Kashmir, Chennai, and Pondicherry, wrapping up after a year. The film boasts a talented technical crew, including music composer G.V. Prakash Kumar, cinematographer CH Sai, and editor R. Kalaivanan, bringing the inspiring story to life.
