Kalki 2898 AD’s makers held a mega pre-release event in Mumbai on 19th June. The event was graced by Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Rana Daggubati. Big B in a recent conversation with the team, apologised to Prabhas’ fans as his character will have a fight with the Telugu superstar. In Kalki 2898 AD, Bachchan will be playing the role of Ashwatthama and Prabhas to play Bhairava. The film will showcase a massive clash between the two characters. 

In a video released by Vyjayanthi Network, the team of Kalki 2898 AD shared their experience on working in Nag Ashwin directorial. Amitabh apologised to Prabhas fans ahead of the release and asked them not to criticise him after they watch the movie. 

Amitabh said, “When Nagi came to talk to me about this, he just brought a picture, a visual of what my character is going to look like and what Prabhas is going to look like. And I was this huge guy who’s shoving off ‘THE’ Prabhas. And al the fans of Prabhas, please, you know, please excuse me. Main haath jod ke maafi maang rahe hai, don’t massacre me after you see what I do.”

Prabhas interrupted the conversation and said that his fans love him too. He said, “They are all your fans too”. Amitabh then said, “That was so impressive. I said, ‘He’s already got a vision in mind, he’s got a picture of what he’s going to look like. Very rarely do you see that.'”

Based on Hindu scriptures, Kalki 2898 AD will showcase birth of Lord Vishnu’s tenth avatar, who will protect the world from evil forces. The Science Fiction Action drama will feature Kamal Haasan as Supreme Yaskin, Deepika Padukone as Sumathi, Disha Patani as Roxie, Saswata Chatterjee as Commander Manas and Keerthy Suresh as Bujji. The film is all set to release in theatres on 27th June.
