Aamir Khan’s son Junaid Khan recently made his onscreen debut with the Netflix movie Maharaj. The actor has been receiving appreciation and love for his performance in the film. Maharaj was earlier scheduled to release on the streaming platform on 14th June but later it premiered on 21st June. The newly turned actor is over the moon as the film is receiving positive feedback. He also shared that the film has been made with a lot of love, respect and passion.
In an interview with ANI, Junaid said “I cannot explain in words what I'm feeling right now. Maharaj has been a long and wild journey for me, but all's well that ends well I guess.”
“Maharaj was made with a lot of love, respect, and passion, and I'm glad that the film and my performance are striking a chord with the audience at large,” he added.

Earlier on Junaid’s birthday Maharaj director Siddharth P Malhotra shared a heartfelt note on Instagram. He wrote, “This boy’s passion and dedication is truly unmatched. They say a fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree, which is truly the case for Junaid. He’s got his work ethics from his father for sure, and acting capabilities too. Happy birthday Junaid wish you loads of love and happiness and memorable roles and films always ! Have the best day and year ever.. I’ve seen you work hard and your journey since the past 4 years and I can confidently say I’m super super proud of you as a person and actor both.”

Maharaj also stars Sharvari Wagh, Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey, Meher Vij, Sneha Desai, Priyal Gor, and Sandeep Mehta in pivotal roles. The movie showcased a religious leader, who exploits women in the name of ‘seva’. A journalist voiced his opinion and fought against this ritual. The film is inspired by the 1862 Maharaja Libel Case.
