Businessman Anand Mahindra took to his social media account on Tuesday night to review Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden’s latest web series, Citadel. The businessman wrote about the series having a ‘typical Russo brothers’ plot but hailed Priyanka Chopra for her performance on the show.
Taking to Twitter, Anand Mahindra wrote, “Caught the first episodes of Citadel over the weekend. Was left unmoved by the typical Russo brothers OTT plot but seeing @priyankachopra as an action hero was a revelation.”

The businessman added, “She puts most of our male action heroes in the shade. Fauji brats are famous for being ambitious & adaptive & she fits that bill. You have to hand it to her: she is clearly living life on her own terms & taking on the world, one step at a time. More power to her…”
Several social media users commented on Anand Mahindra’s tweet. One user wrote, “The least you could’ve done was gift her a free car.” Another wrote, “Yeah I was awestruck with the first couple of episodes...looks like more badass stuff is loading.. incredible stuff from pc @priyankachopra.”
“Appreciate this shout-out. It is so important to acknowledge hard work of our women who are unapologetically themselves. So proud of her,” read another comment, while another user wrote, “The reviews for this series are very bad so did not want to waste my time seeing it Will check out Priyanka's "action hero" capabilities.”
Priyanka Chopra is being hailed for her top-notch action performance in Citadel. The actor performed majority of her stunts by herself on the show. Speaking about the same in an interview, Priyanka told Variety, I’m someone who has tremendous experience with action movies and action parts. Not just with my TV show, but my Bollywood action movies.”

“I was working 15, 20 years ago when I didn’t even have stunt doubles. I had a little man wearing a wig with shaved arms that used to do stunts for me that were too dangerous, because we didn’t even have women at that time. So I learned how to do my stuff,” Priyanka Chopra added.
The first two episodes of the series premiered last week on Amazon Prime Video. The next 4 episodes of Citadel will be airing every Friday till May 26, 2023.
