Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar's upcoming collaboration, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, has grabbed everyone's attention ever since the announcement. Speculation has been rampant about the rest of the cast, especially the female lead who will star opposite the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 actor in the film. New reports now suggest that Ananya Panday will join the cast of the rom-com, reuniting with Kartik once again.

Reports indicate that the makers have locked Ananya Panday for the lead role in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.
A source quoted by Bollywood Hungama stated, "Kartik and Karan were looking for an actress with strong pull in the youth and after contemplating on the names, they have locked Ananya to play the female lead. Ananya and Kartik are a successful pair, and this would extend their partnership further."

There had been speculation about Sharvari landing the lead role, but recent reports suggest Kartik and Sharvari will work together on another project. The source added, "Kartik and Ananya will team up this time, but in his next film, he will share the screen with Sharvari. Kartik has apparently offered Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 to the Munjya actress."

Following this report of Sharvari's exclusion from the film, her fans expressed their disappointment on social media.

Previously, Ananya and Kartik worked together in the 2019 rom-com Pati Patni Aur Woh.

Earlier reports also suggested that the lead cast of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani might make a special appearance in Kartik Aaryan's film.
