Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2' is set to make a smashing return on July 6, where the anime is part of the Summer 2023 anime season and will be released in two courses. The new season will also explore the past of Gojo and the Shibuya incident, where a new poster of the anime was released today by the makers giving a mended friendship between Gojo and Geto.

The first season aired in October 2020 and the stunning visuals and gripping storyline of the anime soon became widely popular, where a prequel movie titled 'Jujutsu Kaisen 0' was released in December 2021 and received a positive response from the audience. The story of the series is based on Gege Akutami's manga series which was primarily featured in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2018.

The Gojo's Past Arc mainly consists of the hidden inventory and premature death arcs where Gojo is considered to be the strongest in the world. The series features primarily his classmates Geto and Shoko as students at Tokyo Jujutsu High School.

The series also covers the events before the arrival of the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film where the film thus hinted at the bond of Gojo and Geto before an unknown situation drifted them apart. Hopefully, the second season will reveal what went down between the two.

The second season will air on Crunchyroll, whereas the first season and the film are already available on the platform. The trailer for the second season was released by the makers which was widely praised for his animation and the characters as well where one can get a glimpse of a fight featuring Gojo Satoru.

Talking about the story of the series revolves around the life of a young boy Yuji Itadori, who has extraordinary physical abilities. One day, he touched a cursed object known as Sukuna's finger, which was once the strongest sorcerer and was also known as 'King of Curses.' He then sees a classmate being attacked by a curse and swallows the finger to save his classmate.

Since then, his and Sukuna's souls share the same body where he starts exercising some curses and forms a trio with two other of his classmates. The three eventually train together to defeat Ryoumen Sukuna. The anime is written and illustrated by Mangaka Gege Akutami.
