Anuja On OTT: The Oscar-nominated short film Anuja, produced by Guneet Monga and featuring Priyanka Chopra as an executive producer, is set to premiere on Netflix. This announcement comes shortly after the film was shortlisted for the 2025 Academy Awards, bringing excitement to fans and film enthusiasts worldwide. Anuja will stream exclusively on Netflix. While the exact release date is yet to be announced, Netflix has confirmed that the film will be available "soon," likely in time for Oscar voters to view it before the awards ceremony. The streaming platform shared a brief clip from the film to tease its arrival.

Directed by Adam J. Graves, Anuja is a heartfelt story inspired by the resilience of working children. The film highlights their strength, joy and hope amidst challenges, offering a glimpse into the magic and innocence of childhood.

The project involved extensive research and collaboration with several organizations. Notably, the Salaam Baalak Trust, a nonprofit founded by filmmaker Mira Nair that empowers street and working children, played a key role in shaping the film. Sajda Pathan, the lead actress, is a beneficiary of the Trust. Other partners include the Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation and Save the Children, whose insights enriched the narrative.
