Aamir Khan's latest movie Laal Singh Chaddha, which is a remake of the 1994 American film Forrest Gump, failed to impress the audience in theatres. The movie failed to even surpass the 50 crore mark in its opening weekend. Now, in an exclusive conversation with ANI, actor Anupam Kher said that "if a movie is good, it will succeed."

While addressing the ongoing Boycott Bollywood trend, Kher said, "I personally feel this trend will not affect the film. If your film is good, it will succeed; if it is awful, it will suffer, but not as a result of the trend. Everyone has the right to express themselves freely. If an actor, actress, or other individual in the film industry has the right to say anything about any scenario, he or she should also be bold enough to sort of go through the situation."

The Kashmir Files actor further noted that Laal Singh Chaddha was not a 'great' movie. He said, "If it was a great film then no power would've stopped it. Aamir Khan's PK worked really well." He asserted that one should accept the truth."

The 'boycott Bollywood' movement, according to Anupam, won't have an impact on a movie. He mentioned that the success or failure of a movie will depend on its quality, not on the boycott movement. Anupam continued by saying that everyone has the right to freedom of expression and that if actors are allowed to speak freely about any situation, they should also have the guts to actually act it out. He appeared to be making reference to Aamir's earlier remark.

Professionally, Anupam Kher has a slew of movies lined up in his kitty. He will be next seen in Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay, which will also star Guru Randhawa. Apart from this, Kher also has Metro In Dino, which also stars Aditya Roy Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. Kher also has Vaccine War, IB 71, Emergency, Shiv Shastri Bhola, and more.
