Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly recently faced backlash from her Pakistani fans after voicing her support for India’s Operation Sindoor. The television star, who praised the Indian Armed Forces for India’s Operation, reacted to social media users unfollowing her over her stance. Rupali hit back at her Pakistani fans for unfollowing her on social media for taking a stance for the country.  The actress took to her X (formerly known as Twitter) and addressed the issue. Rupali Ganguly tweeted, “Unfollowing me won't bring any betterment to your country. First ask your government and army to stop terrorism against India, this will be the only way for the betterment of Pakistan. Your following or unfollowing may make a difference to an artist but not to an Indian. And I'm an Indian First. A Proud INDIAN Jai Hind Jai Bharat.” 

Social media user shared their views on the post. A user said, “aaj se mai bhi anupama dekhuga.” Another said, “I just followed you.” A comment read, “Followed you will request all patriotic Indians to follow your account.” Another user said, “That's the new version of our innocent Monisha and it is definitely not middle class Super @TheRupali.” A fan said, “Ab to do teen baar Anupama dekhna padega, I agree @Neha_ns9999.” 


Earlier, Rupali criticised Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s reaction to Operation Sindoor. She then took X and wrote, “You working in Indian films was also 'shameful' for us. #OperationSindoor #IndianArmy #IndianAirForce.” 

The actress has been quite active on social media and sharing her views along with supporting the country and its actions. In another post she said, “The era of silence is over! Terrorism will be answered with strength. Thanks to the strong leadership and brave hearts in uniform. #OperationSindoor #IndiaFightsPropaganda #OperationSindoor2.” 

 


Rupali Ganguly has been working in Anupamaa since 2020. The show has been on the TRP chart since its inception. Apart from Anupamaa, the actress is also known for her work in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and Sanjivani: A Medical Boon to name a few.
