Anurag Kashyap, a film director, has again raised controversy with his strong comments about The Kerala Story 2. While interacting with the media during the Filmfare South Awards, which took place in Kerala, he criticised the film and labelled it as propaganda and a rubbish film. His comments about the beef scene in the film went viral on social media.

According to Amar Ujala reports, during filmfare south awards, he interacted with the press in Kerala, Anurag Kashyap made a joke about a particular scene in The Kerala Story 2, where the forced eating of beef is shown. He made fun of the scene by saying, “Beef paratha is best.” When asked if beef is a problem in today’s world, he said, “No, there is no problem.”

When asked about the trailer of the movie, Kashyap did not mince words and said that it is a bullshit trailer. He also said that the movie is completely propaganda. Such movies are made to divide people and just make money by pleasing some people.

Earlier Comments And Ongoing Debate

This is not the first time that Kashyap has slammed the film. Earlier, Kashyap had also labelled The Kerala Story 2 a nonsense propaganda movie. Kashyap was surprised by the logic behind the beef scene in the film and stated that such scenes are not practical. Kashyap’s statements have further fueled the debate on the storyline of the film.

The Kerala Story 2 Release Date

The Kerala Story 2 has been given a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film is directed by Kamakshya Narayan Singh and is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The film is set to be released in theatres on February 27.
