Kennedy At Cannes 2023: Anurag Kashyap's directorial 'Kennedy' was recently screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2023 and the movie received seven minutes of standing ovation. After the screening, the star cast of 'Kennedy', Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhat, were seen getting emotional.
The video was shared by the Festival de Cannes YouTube channel and is being shared widely across social media.
Meanwhile, sharing the pictures from the screening, Sunny Leone wrote, "The proudest moment of my career so far! Thank you @anuragkashyap10 for this moment! And @itsrahulbhat for letting me be share the screen with you in this amazing performance! Love you both!"

'Kennedy' was selected for the Midnight screening section at the Cannes Film Festival 2023. In an interview with Film Companion, Anurag Kashyap revealed that he also reached out to Vikram but the actor never responded. "I actually had a specific actor in mind, when I wrote this film. Which is why the film is called Kennedy," he said.
He further added, "Because that actor's nickname is Kennedy. The film was called Kennedy Project. It is Chiyaan Vikram. Chiyaan Vikram's real name is Kennedy. I reached out to him. He never responded. So then, I reached out to Rahul. I said 'Read it'. His reaction, his response was enthusiastic. And not like as an actor. And he was like, 'Yeh Kaun kar raha hai (Who is doing this role)?' I said, 'Karega (Will you do it)?' He said 'Me?' I said, 'Yes, but you will have to give it all'. And he was supposed to do some films. He gave eight months of his life to Kennedy."
However, Chiyaan Vikram cleared why he couldn't be a part of 'Kennedy' and gave his blessings and best wishes to the team.
On the work front, Anurag Kashyap last directed 'Almost Pyaar With DJ Mohabbat'. The movie stars Alaya F and Karan Mehta in the lead role, along with Vicky Kaushal in a cameo role.
Anurag Kashyap also revealed that 'Sacred Games Season 3' was cancelled as everyone is scared after the 'Tandav' controversy. In an interview with Mashable India, Anurag said that he is not interested in OTT anymore. “I wanted to do a lot of work, in fact, I have worked on it too. But OTT ki aaj ke date me himmat nahi hai. Tandav ke baad sab dar gaye hain( OTT doesn’t have the courage nowadays. Everyone is scared since Tandav)," he said.
Talking about 'Kennedy', the movie revolves around an insomniac ex-cop who dwells in different circumstances looking for redemption.
