Vishal Punjabi, also known as ‘The Wedding Filmer’ has captured the most beautiful dreamy weddings in Bollywood. He shot the wedding films of popular celebrities like Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli, Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh, Rajkummar Rao-Patralekhaa and Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani. He recently revealed that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor had also approached him to shoot their wedding two weeks before but he could not give his time as he was already booked by then.
In Shivani Pau’s podcast, Vishal Punjabi said, “I wasn’t available when Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt called me for their wedding. A lot of these celebrities call me two weeks before their wedding because its hush hush and nobody can know.”
“The downside is… I am not available for most of them. I have never cancelled a wedding to cover a celebrity’s wedding. I didn’t do Alia and Ranbir’s wedding because I was booked to do a wedding in London for a very beautiful, lovely bride. I wouldn’t change that for the world even now. She was gorgeous and it was a beautiful experience. Ranbir and Alia would have gotten a nice wedding video,” he added.
‘The Wedding Filmer’ got a lot of fame for capturing Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s wedding. On the same podcast, he said “Fifty people in Como is doable. That’s what Virat Kohli did. Cricket is a religion in India, and he’s a god. He and Anushka got married in Tuscany. It was really beautiful. The closest family and friends, only 40 of them, including mum, dad, makeup artists and us… They smashed the wedding. It was the most beautiful wedding ever. No one troubled them. It was like someone had put a bubble around that place, and they could just be. They had the most magical wedding ever. As I was checking in, Barack Obama was checking out; it was a really cool and exclusive and beautiful property.”
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor married in an intimate wedding ceremony at their Mumbai residence on 14th April 2022. The wedding was attended by only close friends and family.
