The glamour world has two sides one side which can go all right for some aspiring artists and the other side can shatter the world for some people. There are several projects that made in the Hindi Film industry which showed both the side of the industry and also exposed the dark side of the showbiz. Several such movies and web series attracted the audience towards it and raised curiosity about the unknown facts of the industry.
Heroine
The movie revolves around an established actress, who slipped into depression after her married boyfriend refused to accept her. This led to her downfall in her career and ultimately led her to do B-grade movies. Madhur Bhandarkar's directorial stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Rampal, Shahana Goswami, Randeep Hooda, Mugdha Godse and Divya Dutta in significant roles. The movie can be watched on Prime Video.

The Dirty picture
The film delves into the life of an aspiring actress who became an overnight sensation and started to be known as ‘Silk’. Her success and fame changed her life completely and showcased a different side of showbiz. Directed by Milan Luthria, the movie stars Vidya Balan, Emraan Hashmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor, Anju Mahendru, Imran Hasnee and Shivani Tanksale in prominent roles. The film is streaming on Prime Video and JioCinema.

Luck by Chance
Zoya Akhtar’s directorial showcases the life of an aspiring actor whose wish turned fulfilled after he got to play the lead role in Bollywood. However, his life had a major setback when his relationship with his girlfriend (aspiring actress) started falling apart. The movie stars Farhan Akhtar, Konkona Sen Sharma, Hrithik Roshan, Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia and Sanjay Kapoor in pivotal roles. It is currently streaming on Netflix and Prime Video.
Showtime
Sumit Roy’s web series showcases the power struggles, on and off-screen fights in Bollywood. The show has been garnering a lot of attention and love recently. The makers are set to release the second part of the showtime on 12th July. It stars Mahima Makwana, Rajeev Khandelwal, Emraan Hashmi, Mouni Roy, Shriya Saran, Naseeruddin Shah and Vishal Vashishtha in key roles. Showtime streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar.

The web series shows an ensemble of characters and the gambles they are willing to take to every extent to pursue their dreams, passion and ambition to sustain themselves in the film industry. Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, the show features Prosenjit Chatterjee, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sidhant Gupta, Aparshakti Khurana, Nandish Sandhu, Shweta Basu Prasad, Amit Trivedi and Sukhmani Lamba in prominent roles. The web show is streaming on Prime Video.
